Hi! My name is Ginger. I was born and raised in the bayous of Louisiana hunting and fishing and loving everything that had to do with nature and the outdoors.
I followed the normal societal path of going to college, getting married, and getting a job that I would stay in for 30 years or more. As life continued to unfold, a divorce happened and an early retirement followed along with a move across the state. This is when I started Gin's Den. The day that I woke up and realized that life was passing me by! After spending years suffering with anxiety and depression, it led me to make some changes in my life.
I am now 48 years old. A mother of 2 sons, ages 21 and 23, and a step-son, age 20. My oldest son is currently serving our country overseas in the Army, and our youngest two are working on their college degrees. One is in finance and the other in engineering. I am also a wife to my best friend, Michael. Michael is a 22 year combat veteran who recently retired from the Army and is now an LPC who counsels veterans.
My passion is to help people. I have always been connected to self help and striving to become a better person spiritually, mentally, and physically. I have a strong passion for keeping God as my forefront in guiding me through life. I have learned more about myself over these last two and a half years than I ever knew. I have discovered that I am a free spirit at heart.
Painting is very relaxing and fulfilling to me, and creating a special unique piece that touches my heart and yours is my passion. I am hoping to share my work with you all and to create something that you fall in love with.
When I'm not working on ginsden, my husband and I love to worship God and we love the outdoors...traveling out west, mountains, hiking, nature, yoga, barbecuing, and camping.
In 2016, I began Gin's Den by opening up an Etsy shop and making custom wood signs. (www.ginsden0911.etsy.com) That's where my little adventure began. 2019 will be a transition year slowly transitioning from wood signs into more art. I will be adding art lessons and more over the next few months. I'm also in the middle of creating this new website! How cool is this. Follow me as I take you through this journey.
